Michelle Rodriguez, RN is the Heart Matters CPR Course Director and lead trainer bringing with her 10 years of critical care and emergency room experience. Michelle received a B.S. in Nursing from the Barnes College of Nursing at the University of Missourri - St. Louis in 1998 and she is bilingual in English and Spanish.
She has worked as a registered nurse in surgical intensive care units, intensive care units and emergency rooms in both inner city,
charity hospitals and suburban, private hospitals. In addition to being a registered nurse and American Heart Association registered CPR and first-aid instructor, Michelle is also certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
In other words, Michelle practices what she teaches!
While Michelle's technical knowlege in the the fields of first aid and CPR qualify her to teach the class, it's her gifting as a teacher that sets her apart. Her intrinsic desire to teach along with her outgoing personality and dynamic style makes each class a unique learning experience for the students. Michelle has experience teaching adults and teens, healthcare workers and lay persons,
large crowds and individuals. She has shown the ability to be flexible and adaptive to any audience and learning environment.
